Controlling iMod telemetric module using a TPD series touch HMI
The TPD series of small touch control panels makes it possible to expand the range of capabilities of the iMod telemetry module. Thanks to HMI panel he user has the capability of creating graphic visualizations of the states and parameters of an automated system, as well as access to a device service interface that makes it possible to control these parameters.
The TPD-280
communicates with the
iMod
telemetric module using an RS-485 serial interface through the Modbus protocol.
Both the
iMod
and the
TPD support basic codes of the Modbus
protocol for reading and writing of parameters.
The TPD touch panel increases the functionality of the iMod telemetric module by the capability of controlling the states of parameters in monitoring systems, in scattered control systems, and in building automation systems, from a single location.
Thanks to the application of the HMI TPD-280, the user is able to view the following parameters of an intelligent building in real-time:
-
the temperature in individual rooms
-
the humidity of selected parts of the building system
-
the state of doors or windows (open or closed) using contact sensors
-
activation of smoke sensors during a fire hazard
In addition, it is possible to configure settings for devices
controlling the temperature or humidity in rooms from the TPD
level.
